The canelé is a French pastry baked in a cannelé mold that produces
a thin crispy dark caramelized shell enclosing a moist custardy
center. These artisan French canelés are made according to the 17th
century recipe created by nuns in Bordeaux, France where they
originally come from. Respecting the tradition, the Canelés by
French baker Celine are guaranteed not only authentic and delicious
with a rich, smooth vanilla flavor inside complementing a
delicately crunchy burnt sugar shell, but fresh as they are baked
to order.
Each box contains 24 canelés which should be enjoyed within 48h
upon arrival or can be frozen for up to 1 month. Here is how they
are best enjoyed: remove canelés from the box and place in a
preheated oven at 360°F for 5 minutes (time may vary upon
appliance), let them cool down before serving to allow the
caramelized shell to harden and enjoy!
