Brookfarm
is Australia's leading producer of premium quality macadamia nuts
and oils. Production is on a GM-free working farm in New South
Wales, at the centre of which is a regenerated rainforest.
The farm, with its 4500 macadamia trees is in an area known as
the original home of this native Australian rainforest tree and is
currently concluding a three year transition to Certified Organic
accreditation.
Macadamia products from Brookfarm have been recognized
internationally with (UK) Great Taste and (US) SOFI awards.
Having eliminated the use of chemicals, pesticides and
artificial fertilizers from the plantation, it is a haven for
wildlife including Echidna, Wallaby, Paddy Melons, Koala, Water
Dragons,Turtles, Duckbill Platypus, Carpet Pythons, Red Belly Black
Snakes, Eastern Brown Snakes, Bandicoots, Goanna's & a rich
variety of birdlife including the Yellow Tail Black Cockatoo.
In the early morning the Brookfarm rainforest is a virtual
symphony of bird-song.
