ost gourmet food producers use the term 'gourmet' to communicate that a product has certain authentic qualities. Those qualities may be honoring a family heritage or respecting a culinary tradition. Typically the recipes use noble ingredients, often have simple methods of preparation and production and, importantly, always the ingredient of craftsmanship. Products that are referred to as gourmet are frequently healthful and may embody other qualities that today as consumers, we seek in food products, such as being from sustainable sources or manufactured adhering to eco-friendly practices, or have minimized packaging materials and many are created with dietary and allergen considerations.
